Price Increase

Effective January 1, 2011 Dalton Electric Heating Co. will increase the prices of our Watt-Flex® cartridge heaters by 4%. The price structure with which we have been operating has been effective since September 2008. Since then we have seen double-digit increases in nearly all production materials.

Significant increases have been applied to any material containing nickel, which includes our Incoloy 800 sheath tubing, NiCr resistance wire and Grade "A" Nickel stranded lead wire. We have also seen some healthy increases in other areas such as Healthcare and Utilities.

Our commitment to you and the market is exemplified by the fact that we are holding our increase to only 4%. I was discussing this with a very shrewd customer the other day and she said, "Oh, 4% ... that's not so bad." We feel gratified that we can supply the best cartridge heater on the market at a still- reasonable cost.

Any orders placed prior to the end of 2010 will be supplied at existing pricing and we would encourage a review with your prime customers to see if stock of any items are low. I stood in the ice cream parlor watching in amazement as the girl behind the counter piled one mammoth scoop of ice cream after another onto my cone. It was so huge, I began to question whether she'd heard my order correctly.

"Excuse me," I said. "Is that a small?"

As she poured on the toppings, she replied, "Not yet!"
