About Dalton

Dalton Electric is an engineering firm focused on thermal systems for industrial manufacturing environments where temperature control directly affects product quality, equipment uptime, and process stability.

For more than 100 years, Dalton has worked with OEMs and manufacturers to design and integrate thermal systems into equipment and tooling, ensuring controlled heat transfer under operating conditions. This work is concentrated in applications where variability cannot be tolerated and performance must be maintained over continuous production cycles.

Dalton engages early in the design process, applying engineering judgment to heater geometry, thermal distribution, and mechanical integration. This upstream collaboration allows Dalton to influence outcomes that determine long-term reliability, serviceability, and manufacturing performance.

Headquartered in Ipswich, Massachusetts, Dalton supports customers across aerospace, automotive, energy, and other industries where stable manufacturing conditions and lifecycle performance are critical.

Our Team

Dalton’s team is composed of engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel focused on thermal systems that operate under real production conditions. Their work centers on evaluating applications, defining thermal requirements, and ensuring that heat transfer is controlled and maintained within the equipment over time.

Engineering and applications personnel work directly with customers to review constraints such as geometry, operating temperature, duty cycle, and maintenance access. These inputs inform decisions around heater design, thermal distribution, and integration into the equipment architecture.

Manufacturing and assembly teams execute these designs with an emphasis on consistency, repeatability, and mechanical integrity, ensuring that each system performs as intended once deployed in production.

This combined discipline across engineering and manufacturing allows Dalton to support applications where reliability, serviceability, and stable process conditions are required.
